My brief was to create a brand for Prof. Ralph Martins’ new neurological disease research institution in Sydney, in association with Macquarie University Hospital. Prof. Martins wanted to focus on his long time passion for prevention and education around brain health.
It became quickly apparent that many research and brain disease institutions appear clinical, cold, unexciting and unapproachable. I aimed to build a warm, positive and humane brand for the organisation, one which looks optimistically towards the future and is driven to create increased mind health awareness amongst all people of all ages.
Our aim was to create a conversation with the general public, from young people who could gain long-term benefits from protecting and developing their mental health, to the aging patients who are suffering from the impacts of neurological disease.
With the help of colour-coding I created clarity around the wide range of services KaRa provides, ending up with an inviting, optimistic and contemporary look.
